Volunteer at Pita’s Place Foundation

At Pita’s Place Foundation, we deeply appreciate the time, talent, and dedication of our volunteers. There are countless ways to get involved and make a meaningful impact in the lives of women in recovery. Whether you’re lending your skills, sharing your story, or simply offering your time, your efforts help create a nurturing and supportive environment for the women we serve.

Ways to volunteer:

Time

  • Be a Mentor – Spend time with our residents by offering guidance, encouragement, and emotional support.

  • Host a Faith & Recovery Session – Lead a Bible study or faith-based discussion group to inspire and uplift.

  • Support Women’s Wellness – Join our residents for activities such as exercise, nature walks, and self-care sessions.

  • Volunteer Committees – Serve on one of our committees, such as Program Development, Fundraising, or Community Outreach.

  • Event Assistance – Help with fundraising events, open houses, and awareness campaigns throughout the year.

Talent

  • Teach a Skill – Share your expertise in areas like resume writing, job interview skills, financial literacy, or personal development.

  • Creative Arts & Self-Care – Lead a class in painting, hairstyling, makeup, or another creative or confidence-building skill.

  • Professional Services – If you are a therapist, social worker, or career coach, consider offering your services pro bono.

  • Community Engagement – Use your talents in photography, graphic design, or marketing to help spread awareness about our mission.

Treasure

  • Celebrate by Giving – Instead of receiving gifts for your birthday or special occasion, ask friends and family to donate to Pita’s Place Foundation.

  • Create a Welcome Basket – Help new residents feel at home by putting together a basket with essential items.

  • Sponsor a Resident – Provide financial support to help cover therapy, housing, or basic needs for a woman in transition.

“Volunteering is the ultimate act of kindness. It not only changes the lives of others but enriches your own.”
